Public Education
The lack of fire safety education is one of the reasons the United States has the worst fire statistics in the world. It's often said that 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'. This especially holds true when it comes to fire education. We want to reduce fires, heighten awareness and eliminate fires.
West Metro Fire-Rescue District is dedicated to promoting fire safety to our businesses, schools, other special organizations, churches and residents. Some of the programs that we provide are tours of the fire station, senior fire safety presentations, apartment safety presentations, extinguisher training, school presentations and other special events. The fire prevention staff is continually working on further expansion of fire education programs to further assist the businesses and citizens of our communities.
