If you are interested in finding out about what it means to be a WMFRD Paid, on-call Firefighter we would like to invite you and your family to one of the informational meetings we will be hosting.
At these meetings we will answer your questions, discuss the hiring process, time commitment, training, and benefits of becoming a firefighter in the District.
We will also be available to answer questions at our Open House on Saturday October 3 at Station 3, 4251 Xylon Avenue North from noon-3:00pm.
“Neighbors Serving Neighbors” the residents of New Hope and Crystal rely upon their neighbors to protect our communities. Maybe this could be you?
West Metro Fire-Rescue District is beginning our 2010 recruitment process. Our next recruit class will start in February of 2010. Are you a community orientated, motivated individual, physically fit, over the age of 18 with a High School Diploma or GED? Do you have a valid Minnesota driver’s license along with an excellent driving record? If so, you may have a future as a WMFRD firefighter.
Although we will be hiring some evening responders our priority for this process will be to hire daytime available responders. Ideally, applicants would be available for response weekdays from the hours of 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
WMFRD Paid, on-call Firefighters serve our communities from one of the District’s three stations. We are looking for highly motivated applicants that reside within a four minute response to one of our fire stations:
